From August 15 to 21, our school held the 2024 Central Plains Cultural Summer Camp for Taiwan Students. 27 master's students and teachers from Taiwan's school, Yuda University of Science and Technology, as well as a number of student volunteers from our school participated in the summer camp.
On August 16, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Taiwan Student Summer Camp was held. Zhou Chaoxia, Deputy Director of the Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Office of Henan Provincial Department of Education, Liu Qian, Secretary General of Henan Provincial Taiwan Union, Zhang Jin 'an, Vice president of our school, heads of relevant departments and teachers attended the opening ceremony.
Inthespeech, Zhang Jin 'an introduced the school situation and historical evolution of our school in detail, warmly welcomed the visit of the summer camp group, and encouraged the participating teachers and students to take this summer camp as an opportunity to learn from each other, enhance friendship, deeply understand the historical and cultural heritage of the Central Plains and the style of The Times, witness the development and changes of the motherland, and enhance the understanding and knowledge of the Central Plains and Henan culture.
Zhou Zhaoxia emphasized the bright charm of the Central Plains culture, pointing out that walking in Henan can better understand China. He hoped that through this experience, you can personally feel the true feelings of Henan, the profound culture of the Central Plains, the beauty of the Central Plains, and the simplicity of the Central Plains people, so that students from both sides of the Strait can work together and persevere, and bloom in the process of realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Mr. Li Yixiang, director of Yuda University of Science and Technology, shared his experience and feelings of more than ten years of communication with Zhengzhou Shengda Economic and Trade Management College, fully recognizing the exchanges between teachers and students of the two schools and their contributions to the exchange of students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Ms. Lee spoke on behalf of the campers and expressed her expectations and gratitude for the summer camp.
During the summer camp, campers focused on the profound cultural tradition of Henan and the vigorous development of the Central Plains economy. They visited the historical attractions in Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Luoyang and other places, and went to Dennis Group, Haoyou Jujube Industry, Jindai Industry Incubation Center, Lu MAO Tong and Jack Panda and other enterprises. It enables Taiwan students to experience the rapid development of the mainland, enjoy the beautiful mountains and rivers of the motherland, and understand the rich traditional culture of Henan Province.
Since 2010, our university has successfully held more than 10 summer camps, volunteer teaching, professional seminars and other activities for students from universities across the Taiwan Straits, becoming an important platform for exchanges and cooperation between universities across the Taiwan Straits.
